Sainamphueng Pad Thai (opened Oct 2018) is a small Thai restaurant tucked away in a street near the Nightbazar. It's not the first and most obvious choice for a night out, but hey this place can offer some surprises.
First of all, it has an extensive menu with a variety of Thai food and a specialisation on dishes with Pad Thai. How can that be interesting?, I hear you ask. Well, the proof is in the pudding. It really matters what kind of ingredients are being used, Sainamphueng gets it all the way from Isaan province. And it matters how it's mixed, the skills of the chef, to create a great Pad Thai that's just a few grades better than the 30 baht Pad Thai on the street.
Talking about prices, Sainamphueng isn't really expensive, especially considering the pleasant atmosphere and the airconned room you sit in. It may look expensive from the outside, but it isn't.
Try Sainamphueng's signature dish: Poseidon Pad Thai, which contains a lot of seafood, prawns and crab, and can be served on a big plate to fill the stomachs of up to 4 people. Ideally for a group who wants to try authentic Thai food!
