Indian, Thai and European food
FOOD REVIEW BY MICHAEL LE GOURMAND
The Curry Pot offers breakfast, European, Thai and Indian food. Of course, few people can master so many different kitchens, and clearly the Curry Pot doesn't master any of them. It's run by an Indian family, so they should be able to cook proper Indian food, but the food is far from authentic and looks and taste more or less like the kind of food you would get in a student pantry or in a health food store, with the label "Indian today". The service is poor and the place is narrow, so there is really no reason at all to go eat here, unless you like to eat a very light meal with a scent of Indian flavours, because it's not oily nor rich in spices, so easier to digest. Nothing is really good though, even the nan isn't good, the bare minimum for a decent Indian.
Interestingly, there is a Curry Pot in the basement of Central Kad Suan Kaew too, which also serves rather poor Indian food. The owner denies any connection, though, so perhaps the bad luck is in the name.
