A place still little frequented by tourists whose charm and atmosphere is very pleasant and enjoyable. The management of the establishment is relatively well maintained. Danaya is a friendly and smiling person but easily panics with the formalities because she does not really master foreign habits. Her daughter Fah will be your contact in English and will help you with the procedures when she can be available. The prices are high compared to the services offered in other neighboring guesthouses more modern and better equipped. Here, towels and necessary for travelers are not provided. We remain in the strict local minimum but suitable for a backpacker. The room is small but sufficient for one person. The hotel overlooks the street, so no need to complain about the noise because the passage of motorcycles is constant. The bedding is new and good but the condition of the sheets is sometimes undesirable (stains, wear and tear and cigarette burns). By reporting your requirement, Dayana will offer you better equipment because she is willing and tries to do her best to satisfy you. On the other hand, the internet connection is unusable: very often approximate, or even completely absent. It is necessary to buy your own subscription if you need internet. In addition, the electrical outlets, too worn, do not allow a stable and functional connection. A multi-socket adapter is to be expected. The cleaning lady spends her time on her phone and has a contemptuous or even insulting attitude towards the residents. The trash cans are not emptied and a lot of long hair remains on the floor after her visit. I even found personal waste there. I had to wash the floor and carpets myself for a minimum of hygiene. It is very regrettable that this employee is seriously damaging the reputation of the establishment. A deposit of between 2500 and 4000 baht is required upon arrival depending on the length of your stay. Electricity is not included in the room price. Consumption will be paid at the end of the stay. Here, foreigners' money is the main business of this guesthouse. Small question: Is the price of the room and the treatment the same for Thai tenants ? Beware of the risk of scams ! I was criticized for blocking the toilets with paper and threatened to pay for repairs when everything was working normally. Given the many lacks of service, the disproportionate cost of the stay and the attempted scams, the customer, often solicited for financial questions, is not encouraged to stay. Is it a lack of trust, a fear of dishonest foreigners or simply a deep venal character? This emergency establishment for 1 or 2 nights is acceptable. For longer stays, I highly recommend booking elsewhere, where the price/quality ratio is much better with more comfort and especially with the guarantee of a quality professional service. Remember to book in advance because hotels are often fully booked in this area for several months. This will prevent you from ending up at the Danaya home by constraint, which obviously remains the only place available as a last resort. Despite all these unencouraging observations, I am still satisfied to have been able to stay in this rudimentary accommodation because the people in the area are friendly and the facilities remain an advantage. |
