POP Car Rent in Chiang Mai is a rip off Anyone who is visiting Chiang Mai (Thailand) and wants to rent a car should avoid POP Car Rent at any cost. We rented Toyota Vios from POP Car Rent in Chiang Mai for four days and car stopped working on the second day because the battary was way too old. We called POP Car Rent and they told us that it is not their problem and we should fix the car. We were in a little town about 250 kilometers from Chiang Mai and POP Car Rent office and there was no change to fix this car. Only way to start a car was with booster cable – so we had to find one every time we stopped. Next day I called again POP Car Rent and they told me to buy a new battery. We had arrived to bigger town but as we had spent most of the morning trying to start the car, all shops were already closed. We had to deal with car problems most of the time and after we returned to Chiang Mai and went to POP Car Rent, they said that it is not their problem that POP Car rent`s car is not working. Some dude, who said he is the owner of the place, was really rude and told us to get lost. Anyone who is thinking about renting a car in Chiang Mai should avoid POP Car Rent. Their cars are in really bad condition and if these cars have any problems – and they sure have A LOT of problems – then it is your problem and there`s no way to get help or refund from POP Car Rent. https://www.facebook.com/popcarrent.chiangmai I sure hope this place will be shut down.
